• Supervised, coordinated, and evaluated the after-school program at Howard Bishop Middle School by providing academic support, socio-emotional support, and personal development.

• Conducted staff meeting for the after-school program and the student Services Team

• Planned and managed youth events and services in the program and the school

• Presented at youth related meeting and events to bring in training and projects for the After School Program and Howard Bishop Middle School.

• Specially trained, child advocate whose dedicated advocacy positively impacts a dependent child’s safety, well-being, best interests and finding of a permanent placement

• Worked within a Guardian ad Litem team of program staff and attorneys, and alongside community-based social workers and community service providers

• Served as the “voice for the child” in judicial dependency proceedings and in helping the child navigate the child welfare system

• Helped with placement visits and conducting thorough investigations on behalf of the best interest of the child

• Spoke with parents, school caretakers, after school caretakers, etc. to make sure that children are safe and placed in the best care.
